The Icon Museum and Study Center is excited to offer free admission and family-friendly programs on Thursdays during school vacation. Get ready to explore the Museum’s collections, spark creativity, and discover a welcoming learning environment for all ages! Join us for activities in the galleries, auditorium, or outside on the terrace (if the weather is nice).

Each Thursday will feature a new theme inspired by the Museum’s collection or special exhibitions. The Museum will offer free admission all day, with drop-in self-guided tours and crafts available. Docent and Staff-led activities will be scheduled starting at 1:00 pm.

Guided Activity: Museum Volunteer, Larissa Dyan, will tell the story of the Rainbow Flower by Valentin Kataev. The story follows the adventures of a young girl who is given a magical flower that can grant wishes.

Drop-in Activity: The wonders and magic of nature is celebrated in cultures around the world. Embark on a journey to find nature and animals in our paints. Take a pair of DIY binoculars, a kraft notebook, and a box of colored pencils and see what you can discover. A family-friendly guide will be provided, highlighting artworks that showcase the natural world.

This program is supported by grants from the Mass Cultural Council and the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area.
