Guided Activity – 1:00 pm
Drop-in Activity – all-day
The Icon Museum and Study Center is excited to offer free admission and family-friendly programs on Thursdays during school vacation. Get ready to explore the Museum’s collections, spark creativity, and discover a welcoming learning environment for all ages! Join us for activities in the galleries, auditorium, or outside on the terrace (if the weather is nice).
Each Thursday will feature a new theme inspired by the Museum’s collection or special exhibitions. The Museum will offer free admission all day, with drop-in self-guided tours and crafts available. Docent and Staff-led activities will be scheduled starting at 1:00 pm.
Guided Activity: Join Museum Volunteer, Beth Woodruff, in a guided exploration of Slavic folklore and fairytales. Listen to these fanciful and wonderous tales as you look at our collection’s meticulously painted souvenir Palekh boxes.
Drop-in Activity: Look through our Children’s library of fairytale books and use them as inspiration to illustrate your favorite story using supplies from our Craft Buffet!
This program is supported by grants from the Mass Cultural Council and the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area.
