Pianist Ekaterina Willewald, a crowd favorite, will return to The Icon Museum and Study Center for a spellbinding performance of Modest Mussorgsky’s famous suite, Pictures at an Exhibition. This immersive program will bring Mussorgsky’s “musical illustrations” to life with commentary on the paintings that inspired each movement. This incredibly picturesque, vivid music won’t leave anyone untouched.

Since making her concert debut in Moscow as a featured soloist with the Moscow State Philharmonic Orchestra, playing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Ekaterina Willewald has been invited to play on both sides of the Atlantic. Mrs. Willewald is a founder, lecturer, and performer in the piano concert series at Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main. From 2000 to 2005, she presented many concerts featuring great Russian and European composers and their masterworks, covering an immense part of the piano repertoire.
